AmeriCorps released a new Workforce Development Resource: “Leveraging AmeriCorps Programs as a Workforce Development Strategy in Your Community.”
This toolkit speaks to a workforce development audience including state and local workforce boards, state departments of labor, nonprofit organizations operating workforce development programs, training providers, and institutions of higher education.
The toolkit focuses on:
- what AmeriCorps is;
- how workforce development organizations can leverage AmeriCorps in their organizations to meet their missions (e.g. hosting AmeriCorps members to boost their capacity); and
- how national service can be an integral part in a community’s workforce development strategy and programming.
