Our Journey Together: Financial Literacy Curriculum, Services, and Partnerships on the Ground
About
The More Than Words (MTW) youth organization in South Boston integrates financial literacy education into its jobs training program.
Not only does the program provide youth with employment but also takes advantage of “teachable moments” when youth receive their first paychecks. MTW offers foster care, court-involved, and out-of-school youth employed at their bookstores with financial literacy workshops, savings accounts, and direct deposit. On this webcast, Our Journey Together: Financial Literacy Curriculum, Services, and Partnerships on the Ground, learn how this youth employment program partners with two financial institutions in the Boston area to provide youth access to financial products and services.
