These two guides provide current information and resources about the options for high school equivalency and about the general topic of college and career ready academic standards. In addition to the guides, ETA developed two short webcasts to introduce the guides, beginning with an overview of the documents purpose and content, followed by a section-by-section summary.
Individuals within workforce-focused organizations/agencies who serve clients who have not attained a high school diploma and/or clients who are in need of postsecondary knowledge and skills should be familiar with the major options for HSE that are in use nationwide and understand basic concepts associated with CCR standards and the content standard initiative/movement. For each section, key questions or considerations are discussed that highlight implications for the workforce system and the need-to-know information about various issues within these topics.
